I remember the first time i shot in FujiFilm Velvia 50 transparency film. Each roll is around S$12/.

Fantastic colors, really really nice, deep saturated colors. the only problem, it cannot render human skin that well, tend to be yellowish.

Anyway, i soon shot plenty of landscape with Velvia 50 and sold prints to foreign firms based in Singapore on various places in Singapore(of cos!) while doing my Honors year.

Since moving onto Digital, the workflow has changed and i did lesser and lesser landscape photography, mainly becos the colors are not that pleasing n punchy unlike the Velvia 50 days.

I totally stopped landscape when i sold my FujiFilm S2Pro, the only camera i reckon that can produce excellent colors very much like Velvia 50. Anyway, i switched completely back to Nikon n never looked back.

Now, as i edit more and more photos, so my understanding of colors n editing improved n increased.

This set of photos are of cos, experimental and are edited to mimick the colors of Velvia 50 and they are all shot hand-held, with Sigma 30 f.14.

Yeah, the deco this year sux. =)
